Nine years after its conception, director Yoshihiro Sakamoto's latest work, "The Bridge of Ignorance," which will be screened in advance in Toyama, is a story of salvation inspired by the Nunobashi Kanjo-e ceremony, which was held in the Ashikuraji village during the Edo period. After learning about the Nunobashi Kanjo-e, a Buddhist ceremony for women's salvation, from the Tateyama Mandala, which depicts the world of Tateyama faith, Tateyama Museum curator Hitomi Hosoki will talk about his thoughts on the film and behind-the-scenes stories from its production.
