Ichiko Ima is a manga artist from Himi City, Toyama Prefecture. She made her debut as a manga artist in 1993 with "My Beautiful Green Palace".
In 1995, he began serializing his representative work, "Hyakki Yakōshō" (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons). This work, which depicts the mysterious experiences of a protagonist who can see yokai (supernatural beings), has been highly praised for its meticulously calculated dialogue and panel layouts that construct a unique space and time, as well as its outstanding expressive power through exceptional compositional skills and solid drawing techniques. In 2006, it received the Excellence Award in the Manga Division at the 10th Japan Media Arts Festival.
In addition, she has worked on a wide range of genres, including horror, fantasy, and comedy, as well as "My Finch and Me," an essay manga that humorously depicts her life with many finches.
This exhibition showcases the works of Ima Ichiko, whose delicate line drawings and beautiful colors have captivated many readers. Through the display of precious original artwork, please enjoy the creative world that manga artist Ima Ichiko has spun.
