Course content
According to the Housing and Land Survey conducted every five years by the Statistics Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the percentage of vacant houses nationwide was 13.8% in 2023. This presentation will introduce the actual situation of vacant houses in Toyama Prefecture using statistical data, and will also present examples of vacant house countermeasures being implemented in various cities within the prefecture. Furthermore, the Kawamoto Seminar has been working with local residents on community revitalization through the renovation of vacant houses. We will discuss these efforts over the past 10 years.
