"The 3nd Let's Spread Happiness! Picture Postcard Submission Competition" has begun!

The Koshi no Kuni Literature Museum is soliciting picture postcards from all over Japan, on the theme of well-being, in a size slightly larger than usual.

1. Application Guidelines

Qualifications

There are no restrictions on qualifications, age, place of residence, etc. Each person may submit up to one piece of work.
(Note) There is no entry fee. However, applicants must cover shipping costs and other costs associated with submissions. Multiple submissions will not be accepted.

Work Regulations

Flat artworks larger than postcard size and no larger than 70cm x 35cm (*Recommended sizes: Half a sheet of calligraphy paper (approx. 68 x 34.5 cm), 8-cut drawing paper (39.3 x 27.2 cm), A3 (42 x 29.7 cm)）
Something created by the person himself, containing pictures and text
There are no restrictions on the material, length, width, color, or tools used. However, since the work may be backed and exhibited, please do not use brush pens, ink that can be washed off, or water-soluble ink. (Commercially available paints and pigments are acceptable.)
Please write the title and your name directly in pencil or similar in the center of the back of the picture postcard, separate from the application form.
Submitted illustrated postcards must be original and unpublished, not have been submitted to any other competitions, and not have been posted on any internet sites.

How to Apply

Please fill out the application form (downloadable from the flyer below), clip it securely to your application postcard, and be sure to include it when sending or bringing it in. Do not mount or frame your artwork.Even when submitting entries as a group, be sure to attach an application form to every single picture postcard.Please apply by doing so.

Children's Division (junior high school students and younger)

Governor's Award (1 item) (Certificate and Book Card worth 5 yen)

Well-Being Family Award

*Selections will be made from family members (whether living together or separately) who apply in both the general category and the children's category (one or more members).

Presentation

The announcement of the judging results (scheduled for November) will be made by sending notification letters to the winners. In addition, the winners' names, picture postcard titles, prefecture of residence, and ages will be published on the Toyama Prefecture and Koshi no Kuni Literature Museum websites.

Other Information

We will not return submitted picture letters. We recommend that you take a photo or make a copy of the letter before sending it in.
Please also read the notes on the back of the flyer before applying.

2.Exhibition

It is scheduled to be exhibited at the "3rd Annual Let's Convey Happiness! Picture Letter Exhibition." (If there are many entries, only the winning picture letters will be exhibited.)
