Zorori's Great Adventure Exhibition

　The "Kaiketsu Zorori" series, which follows the adventures of Zorori, a fox aiming to become the king of pranks, and his friends, celebrates its 39th anniversary this year. Since the first book, "Kaiketsu Zorori's Dragon Fight," was released in 1987, 76 books have been published to date (February 2026). This popular children's book series has sold a total of 3500 million copies, and its popularity has only grown since its anime adaptation. This exhibition will feature approximately 210 precious original artworks and documents that look back on the great adventures of Zorori and his friends, as well as three-dimensional sculptures of the "treasures" collected by Zorori and his friends. There will also be a recreation of the original author, Yutaka Hara's studio, and a photo spot where you can enjoy the world of Zorori. Enjoy the fascinating world of Zorori.

Toyama Shimbun 80th Anniversary of Relaunch Calligrapher Shoko Kanazawa – An Exhibition of Resonating Calligraphy and Literature

Shoko Kanazawa (1985-), one of Japan's leading calligraphers, is known for her calligraphy that cherishes the meaning of characters and calligraphic techniques, while also conveying feelings of love, emotion, prayer, and happiness. The thoughts she puts into each word become like spiritual power, quietly reaching the hearts of those who view them. This exhibition showcases a carefully selected collection of works that embody the diverse charm of Shoko Kanazawa's calligraphy, ranging from the Heart Sutra she wrote at the age of 10, to framed works with words like "love," "dream," and "embrace" that directly touch the heart, to powerful folding screen works such as "Ryobo" and "Ryusho Homai," to works based on literature such as "Tsuki ni Hoeru," to acclaimed works such as the title calligraphy for historical dramas, and recent art pieces. Please enjoy the world in which Shoko Kanazawa's calligraphy and the words of literature resonate with each other, set against the backdrop of a literary museum.

The world of manga artist Ima Ichiko (tentative title)

Ichiko Ima is a manga artist from Himi City, Toyama Prefecture. She made her debut as a manga artist in 1993 with "My Beautiful Green Palace." In 1995, she began serializing her representative work, "Hyakki Yakōshō." This work, which depicts the mysterious experiences of a protagonist who can see yokai (supernatural beings), has been highly praised for its meticulously calculated dialogue and paneling that constructs a unique space and time, as well as its outstanding expressive power through exceptional compositional skills and solid drawing techniques. In 2006, it won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division at the 10th Japan Media Arts Festival. She has also worked on a wide range of genres, including horror, fantasy, and comedy, as well as the essay manga "Buncho-sama to Watashi" (My Finch and Me), which humorously depicts her life with many finches. This exhibition introduces the works of Ichiko Ima, who has attracted many readers with her delicate line drawings and beautiful colors. 3st Let's spread happiness! Picture letter exhibition

For both the first and second competitions, approximately 1,000 picture postcards were collected from all over Japan, and about 700 were displayed at the Literature Museum. For the third competition, we will continue with the theme of "well-being" and are looking for picture postcards that are a little larger than usual. Akira Yoshimura 100th Anniversary Exhibition (tentative title)

Akira Yoshimura (1927-2006, born in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo) pursued facts backed by thorough research using a vast amount of materials, bringing new achievements to documentary and historical literature, earning high praise and gaining many readers who love novels. In "High-Temperature Tunnel," published in 1967, Yoshimura depicted the difficult construction of the railway tunnel from Keyakidaira Station to the Kurobe River No. 42 Power Plant of Nippon Electric Power Company. The bedrock was over 160 degrees Celsius, there were snow avalanches that blew away the lodgings, and the boardwalks were so dangerous that one misstep could be instantly fatal. "High-Temperature Tunnel" unfolds a fierce battle against nature and a human drama. Now, a new tourist attraction is being born in Kurobe, where this magnificent nature remains. It is the Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route, a new route stretching approximately 18 kilometers from Keyakidaira in the Kurobe Gorge to the Kurobe Dam. This exhibition focuses on "High-Temperature Tunnel" to commemorate the launch of the Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route. And now, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Akira Yoshimura's birth, we will introduce the allure of his meticulously researched documentary literature and his historical novels that adhere to historical facts. Hiroshi Abe's Picture Book Zoo Exhibition (tentative title)

Hiroshi Abe's picture books, which vividly and humorously depict animals, have garnered overwhelming popularity across a wide range of generations. Born in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Abe worked as a zookeeper at Asahiyama Zoo for 25 years, caring for a variety of animals. Having spent so much time with animals, he accurately depicts their characteristics, such as their skeletons, muscles, fur, movements, and habits. His picture books are truly "interpreters connecting the natural world and humans." We will introduce the charm of Hiroshi Abe's animal picture books, which "depict the emotions" he encounters in zoos and nature, through the original illustrations. One Stormy Night, written by Yuichi Kimura, illustrated by Hiroshi Abe, published by Kodansha.
